Miami’s public research institution is Florida International University. FIU is a world leader in academic and community service, offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees on campus and totally online.

FIU is a top-tier research university that places a strong emphasis on research as part of its mission. Many colleges, institutions, and centers actively increase the university’s capacity to create new standards through research programs, including the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and the Knight Foundation School of Computing and Information Sciences’ Discovery Lab.

FIU has established itself as one of South Florida’s cornerstone institutions by addressing some of the most pressing issues of the day for more than four decades. They are committed to improving the lives of people in their neighborhood and throughout the world. They are among the top ten largest institutions in the US, with almost 54,000 students, and have graduated more than 200,000 alumni, 115,000 of whom live and work in South Florida.

2022 NICE Conference: Demystifying Cybersecurity

The in-person conference will follow all relevant safety guidelines, including the City of Atlanta’s guidance requiring all persons to wear a mask or cloth face covering over their nose and mouth when indoors. We will also be providing options for guests to attend part of the conference virtually.

The virtual portion of the 2022 NICE Conference will only include the keynote session for each day. The sessions will be live-streamed at no extra cost and more information on how to access the event will be available as the organizers get closer to the conference.

The NICE Conference is the annual convening of community members and thought leaders from education, government, industry, and non-profits to explore ways of developing a skilled cybersecurity workforce ready to meet the challenges of the future. This event provides an opportunity to share best practices from around the world and across sectors in order to build the workforce we need to confront cybersecurity risks today and in years to come.

This event is hosted by Florida International University and New America, supported by the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE), a program of the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the U.S. Department of Commerce.
